It researches urban governance by linking planning with social ecological systems, operationalized through institutional capacity building. Besides this, historic analysis is used to understand Jakarta’s institutional circumstances. Many of Jakarta’s path dependencies can be traced back until the colonial era. Until now its influences can be seen in Jakarta’s governance. However, due to Indonesia’s reformation some changes appear that have led to new path formation and a more inclusive government system. This leads to Jakarta’s current situation to be partially resilient to flooding. Jakarta’s current situation shows high intellectual capital but low social and political capital. date: 2013 date_type: published thesis_type: master degree_programme: RS tutors_name: Woltjer, J. tutors_name: Hudalah, D. keywords_local: Adaptive Governance keywords_local: Institutional Capital/Capacity keywords_local: Institutions keywords_local: Urban flood resilience keywords_local: Social-ecological systems keywords_local: Flooding keywords_local: Path Dependency keywords_local: Jakarta language_iso: en titleorder: Urban flood resilience in Jakarta: An historic analysis of institutions dbi: 52d92d04d02e2 imported_item: yes date_of_import: 2020-04-22 imported_from: http://scripties.frw.eldoc.ub.rug.nl/root/ma/RS/2013/anchandramidi/ import_source_file: theses-frw-20200422132454-52d92d04d02e2.xml date_issued: 2013-01-01 citation: Chandramidi, A.N.
