Abstract

This thesis discusses the physical protection measures against terrorist attacks, and the influences they have on citizens (car drivers, cyclists, pedestrians) and urban design. Case studies have been done in Chicago, New York City, Washington D.C., The Hague, Rotterdam and Amsterdam.
