Abstract

This research investigates the spatial justice of children when participating in the act of free play in the low-income neighbourhoods: Vinkhuizen, Selwerd, De Hoogte and De Indische Buurt in Groningen. Using literature review and mapping the findingings of the observation, this study aims to document children’s use of the outdoor environment by systematically recording their use of the outdoor space in its context and examines the relationship between these observations and how the Child Friend City Framework (CFCF) can contribute to spatial justice.
